A fine-tuned YOLOv8-Nano detector reads ten classes of dental condition from a panoramic radiograph; a scoring engine then ranks nine prosthetic treatments against the patient's age, medical history and budget, each with the rationale that produced it.

Every product in this portfolio was designed as well as engineered. Systems before screens, the states nobody asks for, and a handoff judged by whether it can actually be implemented, because I am the one implementing it.

I'm a software engineer in Galle, Sri Lanka. I build production systems end to end. The marketplace and the vendor dashboard, the model and the service it runs behind, the design system and the components that implement it.
Most of what I know came from shipping things that had to keep working. An 86,000-line marketplace across four retail verticals and three languages, a computer-vision pipeline that had to generalise across capture conditions, and client platforms running on commercial domains where a broken build is somebody else's revenue.
Before any of that, I spent eight years on the Kandyan Ves stage, collecting two Presidential Awards with the team and a great many rehearsals.
It is the same instinct that makes me write the trade-off down. If I chose something, I can tell you what I rejected and why. That is what the case studies on this site are actually for.
